Who we serve

The Georgia Rare Disease Advisory Council (RDAC) exists to elevate the voices of those impacted by rare diseases and to drive policies and partnerships that improve care, access, and outcomes across our state. We engage a diverse range of stakeholders who each play a vital role in advancing our mission.

Rare Disease Community

We serve individuals and families living with rare diseases by advocating for greater awareness, earlier diagnoses, improved access to care, and more coordinated support. Your stories and lived experiences shape our priorities and guide our recommendations.

Health Care Community

We work with clinicians, researchers, care teams, and health systems to address gaps in diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care for those with rare diseases. Together, we promote innovation, education, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to improve quality of life and health equity.

Policy Makers

We inform and advise state leaders and legislators on the challenges faced by Georgia’s rare disease community. By sharing evidence-based recommendations and community-driven insights, we help inform policies that expand access, funding, and resources for those who need it most.
